Policy and Advocacy

The Arizona Asthma Coalition (AAC) is a non-profit partnership founded in 1996. Coalition members include state and local public health departments, state and local environmental departments, the Indian Health Service, health plans, faculty from colleges and universities, school health nurses, community non-profit organizations, pharmaceutical companies, individual physicians, school nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists and asthma educators.

Smoke-Free Arizona

The AAC supported Proposition 201 and helped to make Arizona the 14th state to pass a smoke-free state law.

Environmental Quality Resolution

Poor air quality and other environmental triggers, such as dust and auto emissions worsen asthma symptoms. The Coalition is committed to improving the air quality in Arizona.

Resolution for Access to Care for Uninsured

The Coalition supports access to healthcare for everyone.
