Smoker's Helpline (ASHLine)

The Arizona Smoker’s Helpline (ASHLine) is a FREE service provided by the University of Arizona and Arizona Department of Health Services through state tobacco tax monies. ASHLine QuitFax makes it easier than ever for you to help your patients’ access quit tobacco services! Through the QuitFax Referral System, healthcare providers can help connect their tobacco-using patients with local cessation services.  Many Arizona healthcare providers already encourage their patients who use tobacco to call the ASHline for help. However, the proactive referral system is more effective because it guarantees at least an initial contact with the patient.

Filling out the QuitFax form with your client takes 1-2 minutes.  ASHLine provides free training for health and human services professionals – learn how to utilize the ASHLine QuitFax program or talk to clients about tobacco dependence·  ASHLine calls your client to help them enroll in telephone  coaching, community classes, or both·  ASHLine can provide 50% off vouchers for FDA first-line tobacco dependence treatments (Patch, Gum, Lozenge, Zyban, Chantix).  ASHLine will report back to you on the status of each client at the time of enrollment and once per quarter.
